Earlier this my long time racing car of 17 years was involved in a serious shunt at texas world Speedway. For the most part I chose not to rebuild the car since the Targa is not the ideal platform for a race car. I had talked for years about building a coupe, but now I don't have much of a choice. The theme for this project is to a Pca d-class replica of the 1973 Targa Florio winning 911, later to be know as the Mary Stuart 911.
This is the carnage I was left with. It doesn't look that bad, but it was
a hard hit and its jut not worth rebuilding to me. It was only because
of the safety bar inside the door that kept the door off my lap.
Video of the Crash
This was the car that hit me.
This is the new car as delivered to me.
First order of business was to get the new tub mounted on the
rotisserie.
